If you are like me, your curiousity was piqued when I mentioned that the LS7 has a custom cam. I had the opportunity to discuss that with shop manager Dave Rempel. Manny and Dave worked with their Tuner, Arun Ahuja, to develop a cam that was very docile around town yet still high lift for high end performance. Comp Cams does the grind for this proprietary camshaft. Dasilva Motorsports have a few grinds that they can use in different motors. It may be docile and streetable at low RPMs, but I have first hand experience that when this engine is running beside you, you know it has something potent under the hood.
That bracket in the lower left of the photo was built out of aluminum and it will eventually hold the custom radiator overflow container. The right corner has a similar bracket to hold the oil overflow can. Meticulous detail in every aspect of this build.
The underneath of my car was not this spotless when it was new. But this exhaust is not staying for long.
