Dasilva Motorsports: They Do It All!

,

This Camaro arrived at the shop with the body kit already installed. Under the hood is where the work took place. Sitting in the dyno bay, which houses a Dynojet with an Eddy Brake. The dyno is capable of 2000 horsepower and 2000 lb ft of torque. The Eddy Brake allows for simulated driving conditions. This allows for tuning when roads and tracks are buried under snow.
ECS Centrifugal SuperCharger, meth injection, custom cam, header, and full exhaust. That's a nice list to pack into this engine bay.
Looking from the rear, everything is functional and in place. Unsuspecting viewers might even be mistaken in thinking that not much has happened here – until they hear it or see it in action.
I was worried with the dyno layout. Everything is there and it's perfect – for rear wheel drive cars. As I walked around I was disappointed that there didn't appear to be any room for my front wheel drive import! Then Dave told me that once summer arrives they can re-install the hardware on the concrete pad that extends out from the shop. So with the bay door open and the FWD cars back wheels outside, they're all set to handle FWD too!
Here Dave is looking up the 975 RWHP dyno run that the Z06 did. It's a set up that only fabricators could design. Ceiling hung monitor on a telescopic arm – easy to see. Keyboard and CPU mounted on the back wall. This Dyno room has a great design and implementation! When Manny got this facility it was a shell and that allowed him to place everything where he wanted it.
