The low V Mounted radiator requires a high mounted surge tank to ensure that all air can be vented from the cooling system.

The intercooler is V mounted with a C&R radiator with a remote surge tank.  This gives plenty of cooling capacity.  A Setrab 13 row oil cooler keeps the oil cool.  The team told us that the engine runs so cool with the E85 fuel that the big heat exchangers were not really needed!  The fuel is stored in a rear mounted fuel cell and pumped by an Aeromotive pump through AEM high flow filters.  An AEM fuel pressure regulator handles the fuel before it is sent to the custom fuel rail.

The engine uses a small oil cooler, with E85 fuel the engine runs pretty cool.

An ACT dual disc clutch and flywheel transfers power to the G-Force GSR dog shifted transmission coupled to a Supra differential via an aluminum driveshaft with an OS Giken limited slip diff.  The rear differential was carefully set into the stock Scion subframe in accordance with Formula D rules and the stock rear spindles were modified to accept bearings and driven hubs to comply with the rules.

 The car uses an unusual aluminum exhaust system.

Overall even if it is converted to RWD, the conversion is completely Formula D legal and surprisingly simple.  It is something not outside the realm of what any motorsports fabricator could quickly accomplish.

This hole was cut because Fredric felt the car was too quiet and it was hard for him to hear the engine.

The chassis itself is a normal Scion tC shell, or at least it started off that way.  Although you might think that the tC is a compact car, it is actually pretty big, it dwarfs a Nissan S chassis and is nearly as big as the Supra Fredric was used to.  The shell was completely stripped and reinforced with a roll cage that ties the chassis together without going through the firewall.

The front of the car has been replaced with this tubular structure.  Most drift cars have a front structure like this which protects the front end and makes crash damage easier to repair.

The rear of the chassis has also been replaced by a tubular structure which surrounds the fuel cell.  Note the jacking point built into it.
