Wayne Taylor Racing's #10 Corvette took the second spot in qualifying.
The 01 Ganassi BMW Riley took the third spot on the starting grid.

The GT class is made up of Audis, BMWs, Porsches, Ferraris, Camaros, and a Corvette. The #63 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari took the pole with Leh Keen piloting it to a 2:11.183. The next 2 spots were secured by the #94 Turner BMW with a 2.11.234 lap and the Park Place Motorsports Porsche with a 2:11.415 lap.

Leh Keen put the #63 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari on pole.

Also running  were the GX class cars with 2 diesel Mazda 6’s and a lone Porsche Cayman. These cars qualified 20-30 seconds SLOWER than the pole sitting Sahlen DP. While all three look great, watching a DP or even a GT close on them during the race was painful. Their best lap times during the race were in the 2:20-2:21 range, and much better suited for the Continental Challenge race.

One of the 2 Mazda 6 diesels. When they are alone, they look fine. When a DP is bearing done on them, you half cringe and wait for carnage.
