MPTCC Round 2: Willow Springs International Raceway

,

With the G20 out for the count, Michele with only three wheels, and Justin trying to find 5 seconds to shave off his lap times – Edo took the checkered flag again uncontested.  He now has a commanding lead in the season standings.

Something to note are that Edo again ran a faster lap time in the race than qualifying.  Another thing to note is that Michele's best lap in the race on street tires was only a few tenths off her best time on race tires!  That's definitely something for the team to really think about before the next event.  Oh, and before anyone asks.  Michele scored 3rd place points because she completed more than half the race.

And on a short, but important side note.  Congratulations to the Taylor family!  The little guy stayed in the womb until daddy was finished racing.  You definitely have a winner on your hands!

So what exactly happened to Michele's car?  A picture is worth a thousand words…

Though it may look grim, fear not Scion fans.  The team has a complete chassis they can use for parts and will definitely be ready to rock come July when the MPTCC hits Autoclub Speedway in Fontana, California!
