This hole in the plastic heat shield is a bit peculiar…. Maybe it’s to get a bit of cooling air over the exhaust to minimize the butt roasting.
The slip joint on the 959 is in a different location than on the 1199. You can see one of the two O2 sensors here just above the slip joint.
I guess the heat from the exhaust doesn’t heat the rear brake line too much. Well, the rear brake doesn’t get used much anyway.
This is the exhaust primary coming off the front cylinder. A bit of heat shielding can be seen around it to protect the body work .
Yup, the second O2 sensor is located on this front primary.
