Visible underneath the other hood opening is some bracing and an insulated pipe. The little gurney flat on the front of the opening should help extract air when the car is at speed.
I am impressed with how well wheel is sealed off. It looks like typical HVAC tape is used to seal off all the seams.
The two tunnels at the sides of the rear bumper are where the mufflers go in the street going car. The rally car dumps its exhaust out a single pipe in the middle.
Subaru loves dogs and brought some to the show to be adopted.
When COVID hit, a lot of people were looking to escape and overlanding became a huge thing. A Rivian R1S with a tent on top makes for a pretty good rig! Though with the SUV, I’d just sleep inside in air conditioned comfort as there is enough space to put in an air mattress. There are so many tent and trailer options for all sorts of vehicles now.
