Full-length body armor protects the bottom of the vehicle. This vehicle gets a beefier steel tow hook should it get stuck.

 

The rear suspension control arms have some armor/shielding attached to them to help protect the heim joints, among other things.

 

Looking under the front fender, the easily recognizable green of Tein suspension is visible. The wheel well is lined with this white protective shielding stuff as is typical on off-road and rally vehicles.

 

Inside, the driver and navigator are held in place by Recaro buckets with Sabelt belts. Proper race vehicles have proper cages; check out all the triangulation around the heads of the passengers to maximize strength.
