Nerd’s Eye View: Rowe Racing Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3


A lot of carbon fiber is used to manage the airflow and the design of the hood is an intricate piece.  Check out the size of the opening in the hood for the radiator flow; the little kid behind the car could easily fit in it. 


And that’s how it’s done boys and girls.  The small single fan is probably only required to be on when the car is sitting still in the pits.


This duct feeds the tunnel on the underside of the hood.  The remote reservoir for the KW Motorsport front damper is located just behind the duct.


The under hood tunnels feed two more ducts.
