A clean car is a faster car as it reduces aerodynamic drag due to skin friction. Actually, I really just wanted to point out the two fuel jugs on the wall in the back left. Notice the black tape on the jugs. I’m guessing the tape marks pre-measured quantities of fuel allowing for timed stops. Or something like that. |
As you can see, a lot of team work and organization are required to have the car prepared and running well. |
The team can monitor the race from the pits. |
A whole lot of work by a whole lot of people is required to make a succuessful race team in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring. It’s the little details which aid in making work quicker that separates the top teams from the rest of the pack. In prep work and race time work, the seconds saved by being organized adds up over the course of two trips around the clock. Rowe Racing must be pretty good because they finished 3rd overall in the 2013 running of the race. Congrats to Rowe Racing and for letting Jeff snoop around their pits!
