Project 370Z – Stillen Brake Duct Kit Install and Testing

,

Some of the bolts need to be loosened from the front of the hub with the steering assembly facing outward, some need to be loosened from the back with the assembly facing inward.

Once all the hub bolts are off, some rubber mallet persuasion is required.  But since the car is relatively new this was not a difficult process.

After the hub is removed, it's a good idea to take a small wire brush and go over the mounting point surface where the hub meets the knuckle arm.  Brushing off the bits of deposits makes for a easier reinstallation.

Time to put the brake duct hose bracket onto the knuckle arm.  The best way we found to do this was to place the hub bolts in through the back of the knuckle arm so that  the bracket can hang in the correct place while reinstalling the hub.  Tighten the bolts by hand to get the hub threads started.
