Project V8 E46 M3 Racecar: Adding KW Motorsport Suspension and StopTech Trophy Big Brakes!

,

An APR dual element carbon wing was used with the stays being directly attached to the chassis for a stiff and strong mounting point. A lightweight DTM Fiberwerkz fiberglass deck lid was used as well.

The front air dam is a DTM Fiberwerkz part that is styled like the E46 GTR DTM car. The carbon kevlar splitter isn’t done correctly, it has huge air leaks and has mounts that will tear right out at speed. We will be redoing all of this in the near future.

A DTM Fiberwerkz wide body kit was employed. It is a really good replica of the E46 GTR DTM car and has decent aero features that were originally CFD’ed and wind tunnel tested by Williams that we will make functional as the car comes together.

The DTM Fiberwerkz rear bumper has decent venting which will be put to use as we get the car up and running. Unfortunately, the wide fenders and side skirts were molded in, something we usually would not do for a race car, but it at least looks good. I hope we don’t crash, ever.

The DTM Fiberwerkz fenders feature proper venting louvers in the front fenders, but they come without the vents being cut out. We will have to address this.
