The rear struts could now be removed.
The Chinese cheapo coil overs had no damping, were really rusty and the top plate bearing was completely hammered and loose with nearly 1/4″ of play. We had the feeling the ball would soon pop out of the bearing!
We used brand new OEM Subaru upper mounts to replace the dangerously hammered camber plates. Like the front struts, the ST Suspension parts are very corrosion resistant and should give many miles of trouble-free service.
