The slip joints between the mufflers and the tips allow the tips to be perfectly centered and to make up for variations from car to car and things like sag in the motor mounts and the rubber mounted exhaust mount. No cockeyed looking tips from Burns!
Another view of how the saddle mounts and spring clamps spread out the exhaust's weight. Welded on hangers might cause the thin and lightweight stainless tubing to crack.

A close up view of the lightweight Burns Stainless muffler. Burns also sells these mufflers individually in many sizes, inner tube diameters and lengths. We have used them on many race cars with good results. The Burns muffler is super light, fairly quiet and rebuildable. 
Nicely centered resonated tips reduce the noise by a few dB. You can see the crossover pipe just behind the tips.
