To remove the stock intercooler, Howard used a trim panel tool to remove the 4 pop clips on the top of the bumper cover located in the engine bay. He also removed the 2 Torx screws from each side of the upper cover. Next, the hood release cable was detached using a flathead screwdriver. Then the cable was removed from the lever.

The fender-well hardware consisting of some push in clips and Torx screws is removed.

The plastic pop up clips holding the under tray to the plastic bumper cover were removed.

The Torx screws holding the undertray to the body near the front wheels were removed.

The pop up plastic clips and the Torx screws holding the lower engine cover to the back of the undertray were removed.

This allowed us to remove the lower engine cover.

Bob, have you considered mounting the oil cooler behind the radiator like I did on Project S2000? The air coming off the radiator still has thermal availability to cool the oil. Did you see the Grand Am feature I did? They use a huge oil cooler mounted behind the radiator. Basically the oil cooler is the same size as the radiator. https://motoiq.com/trans-am-racing-with-burtin-racing/4/
