Cheston says the vents will produce negative pressure and extract flow.
Cosmetically the vents look pretty cool and complement the rest of the carbon parts of the car. We will see if all the parts we have added recently will help improve the aero balance which was a bit too far rearward in previous track testing. We are planning to do some tuft testing to get an idea of how well our new parts work when we return to the track.

There’s probably a significant amount of entrained flow helping the fender vent, similar to an exhaust blown diffuser, the high velocity air flowing around the side is probably helping to suck the air out of the wheel well!
