Industry Insider: Tein’s Shock Service

,

A nut is placed on the end of the bolt, the whole assembly flipped upside down in the fixture and the nut tightened.
A torque wrench is used to verify correct tightness.
Now the refreshed parts are ready for assembly. New seals and O-rings are used in the assembly.
The code of the new valving is stamped into the top of the shock on the seal retainer so in the future Tein will know what is inside the revalved shock.
Here is the new valve code.
The new shaft seal is pressed in place and a new O-ring is put around the top of the seal retainer.
The new seal is greased up prior to assembly.
