The foot valve assembly also receives a new O-ring.
The seal retainer/top nut is slid over the shaft.
Now everything is ready for final assembly.
The foot valve is slid into place on the inner tube where the O-ring tension holds it in place.  The inner tube is now placed into the outer tube with the foot valve down.
You can see it all here, the foot valve is on the bottom.
Next the proper amount of super secret Tein hydraulic fluid is prepared.  When we asked what it was, the Technician replied extra virgin olive oil. We think he is kidding.  Tein fluid probably has anti foam and anti bubble capability with good lubricity, good temperature resistance and stable viscosity over a wide temperature range..
