Nerd’s Eye View, a Look Inside Darren McNamara’s Falken Tire Nissan S14

The fire system also has a remote trigger for rescue use.

Although the drift world has been taken over by the LS swap, the Falken S14 shows that the small block Chevy in its latest incarnation is not dead at all and even has some advantages over the LS.  The small block Chevy is not dead, long live the small block Chevy!

The S14 rolls on HRE 501 wheels and and totally off the shelf Falken Azenis 615K tires, 255/40-18 in the front on a 9″ wheel and 295/40-18 in the rear on a 10 inch wheel.

Currently the car is pretty fast considering that it is somewhat underpowered by today's Formula D standards.  The car will continue to develop and improve as the 2013 season goes on.

The team performed well at Road Atlanta.  The car was really hooking up out of the turns and able to gap most of the field.

After a bad 2012 season with an obsolete and vastly underpowered car, Darren McNamara is back with a vengeance with this new Falken Tire S14.  Look for it to be able to do some damage in the rest of the 2013 season and next year as the SPD Motorsports team continues its development.
