Out of the Meat Locker – Cameron Moore’s Formula Drift Scion FR-S

,

Moore selected a set of OMP HTE-R full bucket racing seats. They featured enhanced head protection for both Moore, and any passengers that tagged along. A RaceQuip six-point harness finished the setup to securely hold occupants. Alongside, and behind the seats was a custom roll cage fabricated by Dylan Hughes, a mechanic and recently turned Pro2 driver with over 20 cage builds to his credit in the sport.

Bringing the driver closer to the action was a Nardi deep corn steering wheel, finished in black suede with a tactile red cross-stitch.
The brakes are controlled by an OBP Pedal box and balance bar.  OBP is a company from the UK that is new to the North American market but well established in Europe. Their pedal boxes feature excellent quality and performance at a great price point.  Pegasus Racing is the North American distributor if you are building a competition car and are interested.
The OBP pedal box is light in weight yet still stiff for good control feel and maximum energy transfer to the brake system.  The balance bar is smooth in operation and precise for ease of brake bias adjustment.

The Nardi wheel connected together with a Go-Race Engineering self-aligning quick change hub. The unit was welded directly to the column and designed with an anti-play mechanism for solid feel on each attachment.

Moore’s car was fitted with Nameless Performance’s signature 18” hydraulic handbrake. As the name suggests, it was tall, and put the grip into perfect reach for moving between the steering wheel or gear shifter.

The Nameless handbrake assembly also included a Wilwood remote reservoir master cylinder. This ensured proper brake pressure was always available to the separate rear caliper, and gave consistent lock whenever Moore yanked back on the large billet aluminum handle.

Gas, turn in, and huge tugs on the handbrake gave the perfect initiation, setting Moore up for a long sweep of countersteer with white clouds to fill his mirrors behind. A beautiful sight.
