Overdose: The Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ Invasion of SEMA Show 2012

,

Scion unveiled the Ken Stout Racing (KSR) Pirelli World Challenge FR-S at the 2012 SEMA show. This is the first time this vehicle has been seen by the public. This FR-S plans to make its racing debut at the World Challenge Streets of St. Petersburg event in 2013 with National Champion driver Robert Stout behind the wheel.
The KSR Pirelli World Challenge FR-S was built to the spec rules of the GTS class.

While there are tons of FR-S’s at the SEMA show this year, Subaru BRZ’s are notably more difficult to find.  This brings us to question Subaru’s marketing strategy and if there is some sort of an agreement between the two brands.

The goal for the Outperformanceshop/Cortex Racing FR-S was to capitalize on the FR-S’ inherent strengths in weight and handling. Their goal was to enhance those features to create a well-balanced and functional street car that would also have no problem handling track duty.
