, Next we removed the mainshaft end cap bolts. Then the bolts that hold the case halfs together were removed. This allowed us to separate the transmission case halfs from each other so we could access the inside of the transmission. The transmission case was removed and set aside. This allowed us to remove the gear stacks and access the differential and ring gear. With everything out of the way, the stock differential can be lifted out.
