Project Fiesta ST, Improving the Drivetrain with Mountune USA and SPEC Clutch

,

The ring gear bolts were hand tightened to get them started.
Since the bolts are one use torque to yield bolts, the bolts were first snugged down in a cross pattern.  Then they were brought to the final tightness using the angular torque method in a cross pattern.  The bolts were marked as they were torqued to make sure they were not double tightened!
The diff and ring gear were set back in place.  After checking the rotating torque and end play we were fortunate to find that we would not have to change any of the select fit shims that control the bearing lash.
Sealer was applied between the case halfs.
The transmission case was set in place.
The transmission case bolts were re-installed.
