Project V8 RX-7: Part 17 – Eimer Engineering Arms, Wheel Spacers and the Hunt for Perfect Stance

,

Our studs are much shorter after cutting them down. There is no going back now short of getting new studs!

With the studs cut down, our spacer mounted right up and enabled us to bolt the wheel back in place.

With everything ready to go, it was time to align the car.

We used a set of Smart Strings first to rough out the toe settings. When everything is way off, this is a good first step because the toe can ultimately affect everything else.  Once the toe was in the ballpark, we used a Smart Camber camber gauge to set the camber front to rear. We used a plumb bob to set the caster.

After the camber and caster were set, it was time to go around and retouch the toe settings.
