The bolts are snuged up by hand in a cross pattern to prepare them to be torqued down.
George torqued them down to a base setting to be prepared for the final torquing using the angular torque method.
George uses a marking pen on the ring gear bolts to help him visualize how far the bolt is moving when he stretches them to the final torque.
George makes one final pass with a breaker bar to a given angle past the marks he made to stretch the bolts to their final tightness.
Look at her in all her beauty! The LSD is placed into its housing, and George is getting ready to check the pinion depth, backlash measurements, and contact pattern.
