15: Audi R8 LMS ultra; 18th overall. There were 8 Audi R8 LMS ultra race cars running in the current FIA-homologated 2013 technical specification. They come with slight aerodynamic improvements (less Dumbo side mirrors and a revised rear wing) and a tuned exhaust system making 562 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque on the racing version of the R8 V10 5.2-liter engine. RWD only with a six-speed sequential gearbox. Two of the Audi's (#14 and #15) were part of Audi's customer experience (privately built). |

| The Audi race experience Audi R8 LMS ultra placed 28th overall. That flash of blue light in the windshield (which the camera doesn't pick up nearly as well as the eye) signifies they qualified in the top 40. It's basically a get the eff out of my way light to the slower cars usually combined with flashing headlights for stubborn (or stupid) drivers. |
