Does anyone make a carbon vented hood for the Cobalt? Nope. The first cut is the hardest they say. You guys know I’m all about cutting and venting hoods (Project S2000 DIY vented hood).
With the hood cut, might as well cut the fenders too! The rear of the fender is massaged to help evacuate air from the wheel well. Vents were also cut in the top of the fenders.
A Sabelt seat keeps Chris in place. Yup, the door panels are still there.
I’m a big fan of the DIY add-on venting of the hood and fenders. Mallets can also be effective wheel chocks.
The intercooler is well-sealed against the bumper opening to make sure all the airflow goes through the IC. The splitter is also well sealed to the bottom of the bumper to get maximum downforce.
A PTP turbo blanket keeps the heat in the Borg Warner EFR turbine housing. Insulation is used to protect all the lines from the heat of the turbo too.
