Upgraded NX: Breaking 10!

,

The NX is a standout – even in a crowd!

SPAL fan, Mishimoto half rad for a Honda customized for this Nissan, cool use of an oil catch can as a rad overflow container. This car demonstrates a well thought out approach.
At Can-Alignment, my buddies shop, I've been present while he works on the suspension of 1/4 mile cars and he spends as much, if not more, time than he does on road race setups. Carlos and Paulo took a Stance suspension setup for a Nissan S13 and adapted it for the NX. This provides a 16 way adjustable suspension with (right now but they'll be changing) 16K rear springs and 12K front. Stance provides camber plates for the front and rear. They've built a suspension that will allow for the fine tuning to capture those last few tenths of a second.
All B13 Nissan owners will appreciate the clean body and especially the rear strut towers. Carlos had to do a bit of repair work on the rear tower, but it was minimal. Adjustability is available at the rear from the camber plates through to the control arms. Lots of fine tuning able to happen here. The car has no rear sway bar.
The Belak wheels are absolutely stunning! The fronts are 15×10 from the Belak OG series; they weigh 9.8 pounds.

    1. Hi Chris,
At the time of this article (about 7 years ago) Carlos was running a Back then was running the P11 transmission with the clutchmasters twin disk. Since then Carlos worked with AES Auto (Burnaby, Canada) and Mazworx to develop the Nissan/Honda K adaptor so the car has a K transmission now. Life has kept Carlos busy and it hasn’t been to the track in quite some time, but I’m sure it will be out again … soon!

      1. I am building a nissan 100nx drag racing project with SR20det fitted with k20 gearbox. However, i have an issue on which drive shafts to use. Can you guide me accordingly? I need to know who sells or manufactures the driveshafts (from k20 gearbox to 100nx knuckles).
