Here’s a pretty 1971 911 Targa that’s claimed several Concours awards in original Turquoise color. It’s got 94,000 original miles, and this owner has had it since 1974! It sports a 2.2-liter flat-six. While it’s only got 142bhp, it’ll do 128 mph and weighs only 2,294-lb. Those are nice figures for 40-plus years ago.
When this 928 drove in, a lot of heads turned. It sounded like a Corvette engine was shoehorned in there…
… but this Porsche’s got its own factory 928 S4 5.0-liter, 32-valve V8. In the late-80s, these stock 5.0-liter motors were rated at 316bhp from the factory—more power than the 911 Turbo. That was a heap of power for that era.

I definitely liked the later styling of the Porsche 928 S4, which sports the aforementioned 5.0-liter V8.
