Here is a beautiful 1961 Mercedes 190 SL with 72,500 original miles.

The spotless engine bay showcases the 1.9-liter four-cylinder with 8.8:1 compression ratio, which was rated at 104 bhp at 5700 rpm with 105 lb-ft of torque at 3200 rpm.

This 190 SL would be a fantastic Sunday cruiser today.

This particular example was fully restored, right down to the original contoured luggage that was supplied with the car so it would all fit!  The way the luggage fits, you could probably haul away for a weekend stay-over in this little car, no problem.

The cool thing about the Mercedes group is the owners don’t bring just the performance-based cars out, unlike the BMW crowd.  Not too many BMW owners will bring out their stock 318s or 528s, for instance.  So it's nice seeing these Benz's here, giving us a snapshot back in time of the smallest models to the big, autobahn-cruising tanks.
