Project E36 M3 has had a small makeover in the engine bay as well, shown here with an M50 manifold conversion and genuine GruppeM carbon fiber intake.
This 8-Series Alpina look-alike is actually an 840i, sporting the 282 bhp 4.4-liter V8. The hood is a work of art, and the timeless car itself is drop-dead gorgeous. It’s hard to believe this body style is 25 years old! The E31 body style is a rare item to see, with only 31,000 examples produced by BMW in the 10 years of production. There was also a CSi version that rocked a 5.4-liter V12 with a hundred more horsepower.
One could argue this E39 wagon to be a sleeper because it sports the same 4.4-liter V8 found in the 840i above.
