In 2009, only 499 Ferrari 430 Scuderia Spider 16Ms were produced to commemorate the prancing horse's 16 F1 World Championships.

With a 510 bhp rating and 3,175 curb weight–impressive for a convertible–Ferrari trimmed 175 lb worth of fat off the 16M Scuderia and replaced it with 27 bhp more muscle over the standard F430 spider.  Under this hood lurks a 4.3-liter modern marvel con tanto fibra di carbonio.  Mua!

Why build 499?  Ferrari uses the idea of producing one less than they expect to sell, which is why they also built 399 Enzos, 349 F50s, etc.

It's not the 510 bhp that would kill me in this car, it's the fact I couldn't take my eyes of the carbon dash and steering wheel, or wouldn't stop petting the Alcantara dash, or wouldn't stop searching for the tach needle to hit its 8500 rpm shift points.

Behind the 16M Scuderia sits a Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, the factory club sport version 360 with all of the lightweight options, including no radio, lexan door windows, carbon mirrors, lightweight bumpers, carbon brakes, lighter exhaust and Alcantara interior—all good for a 243-lb weight reduction over a standard F360.
