
The rear is a mini storage center with a jack, spare fluids, spare tires, a driveshaft, and probably a few other things.

This tubular structure beefs up the structure. I imagine it helps keep the chassis from bending in half going over jumps.

A big skid plate helps protect the front of the truck, though a section is cut open for airflow. The exhaust dumps out towards the ground in the middle of the truck.

Porsche hasn’t had a both since COVID, so Porsche Downtown LA had some cars on display.

The 992 generation of 911 got smarter and put the intercoolers right at the rear deck air inlet instead of in the corners of the car. I do wonder how many leaves and things end up on the intercoolers and how easy it would be to suck everything out.

The other smarter thing Porsche did on the higher-end 992s is have the intercooler air dump right out the middle of the car. This makes a very direct airflow path for the external cooling air to go into and out of the intercoolers.

You’ve heard me say it before, that I despise the fake exhaust tips in the rear bumper. That looks like a little bit of weld spatter around the tips in the muffler.

On the way out of the show, I grabbed a burger and fries for the road.
There’s a few trends I have observed the last couple of years. More off-road looking vehicles which are actually better for dealing with our crappy roads with massive potholes. More electrification and tools to allow people to play on their phones instead of driving. Finally, the horsepower of vehicles keeps on going up, whether they be gas, EV, or hybrid. You can go buy a 4-door sedan or a 2-door sportscar that will run 8s in the quarter mile while meeting all modern emissions; I remember back in the day when a car doing 0-60 in the 8’s was considered decently quick. What a time to be alive.
