PRI 2015: Part 5

,

ProCharger is well known in my neck of the woods here in Kansas, and they're practically in the same town that I live in (along with Aeromotive). This car is owned by Marty Robertson, and it features a billet hemi 521 c.i engine built by Xtreme Racing Engines, and boosted by ProCharger’s new F-3X-143 blower rated at over 3,300 horsepower! So far, with the smaller F-3R-136 ProCharger, this car’s already seen a 4.02 @ 186 MPH in the 1/8th mile. 0-60mph in 4 seconds has always felt impressive but hitting 186 in the same amount of time is…well…just plain scary.

Here’s a close-up of the new ProCharger F-3X-143, which I’m sure Robertson is eager to run in the classes he’s competing in, which include Pro Drag Radial, Radial vs. World, and NMCA Radial Wars.

Each year I’ll see a couple of turbocharged crotch rockets, but a supercharged Harley is far from the norm. Check out this beaut, also in the ProCharger booth. It’s a 2005 Dyna Super Glide motorcycle with a 127 c.i. engine and B2 head. It runs ProCharger’s C-1R supercharger, which is capable of 675hp, although this bike dyno’d 327 WHP on 93 octane fuel. The system has been reliable for owner Zach Johnson. In fact, he rode the bike over 2,200 miles during the Hot Bike Power Tour in 2015 alone.

…while this is Neo Motorsport’s F401 4-piston caliper setup.
