Project Evo X GSR, Completing the Suspension with Whiteline

,

Howard first removed the lower control arm of our Evo X. The ball joint is a stud with a pinch bolt instead of a taper so it comes apart pretty easy.  Don't want to bang on those nice forged aluminum lower control arms!
Once the control arm is out, the bushings and ball joint need to be pressed out.
Howard uses a hydraulic press to get the job done.
Howard has a box of various bits of pipe and other special pusher tools he has machined over the years to make the job easy.  If you're doing this at home you can always get creative with sockets.
To remove the ball joint, you first remove the rubber dust boot.
Then the wire retaining clip must be removed.
