We lifted up these clips and were ready to remove the carpet.
The center carpet pulled out of the car without too much fuss.
The center tunnel carpet has a couple plastic mounts high up and forward under the dash. These are accessible after removing the stereo system from the car.
After removing the center tunnel, we were ready to install the new carpet. You can see from this photo, the aftermarket 10” subwoofer mounted in an enclosure just below the passenger’s feet. This was the same setup used in the original Factor-X Modified-class Time Attack NSX that I use to compete in. Yes, we won TA events with a full sound system in the car. That car is also an influence on this build.
The driver’s side carpet was also removed and ready for the installation of the new carpet.

Beautiful job! It’s little details like this that make a big difference in the end.
Thank you. That is true!
