Here is the drum parking brake once the OEM rotor has been removed. The dust shield is minimal and is more of a heatshied to protect the outer CV and toe rod so we left it in place.
The new Stoptech rotor goes on right over this.
Here is the Stoptech STR-40 rotor with the brake wear indicator sensor line attached.
The caliper brackets and caliper brackets are attached and torqued down. The brake lines are attached and the brake system is bled.
The wires from the brake pad wear sensor are spliced into the OEM connector.
The brake wear sensor indicator is in place.

Can’t wait to see a review once this hits the track!
Hi – Allan from Denmark here.
Regarding your “Project Porsche 987.2 Cayman S: Making Awesome Brakes More Awesome with Stoptech!”
We are planning to mount exact same StopTech brake kits on a Cayman R (987.2 – 2012)
Could I get you to inform me the exact StopTech type numbers on all parts used for this conversion?
My supplier of StopTech parts have informed that StopTech only have these two kits for the Cayman 987.2 : Front 83.788.6700.xx / Rear 83.799.0046.xx and these are NOT the same as you have mounted.
Many thanks in advance.
Kind regards
Allan Boegh-Petersen
I need these for my 2015 Cayman S.
