Project SC300 Road Racer: Part 14 – Install it all, y’all

,

Since the hexagonal crimper wasn’t working out, Tom opted for a more…. creative… method of crimping the ring terminals.

The super massive XS Power cable was then attached to the area just under the cowl to keep it as far away from things as was reasonably possible.

Of course we trimmed those zip ties later!

We needed a great ground connection for the battery’s negative terminal, so we sanded down an area just behind the battery by where the rear seats used to be and where there was already a factory hole. The ground wire would be bolted there.

Make sure all that paint is gone. You need a great connection.

And the ground wire is complete. You can see the contactor wiring in the background as well.

We added some more protective boots, and then we went back to the engine bay.
