The cars are scaled and aligned before going on track.

This wheel, shown on the 458 Challenge is actually from John Farano’s F430 Challenge. While the production 458 Italia is shod with 20-inch wheels, the 458 Challenge uses the same wider, 19-inch single-lug BBS fitment as the F430.  The front wheels and tires as seen here are 19×9.0 with 255/650-R19 Pirelli PZero slicks.

The 458 Challenge rocks a set of ABS-equipped Brembo aluminum monobloc 6-pots with 398mm carbon ceramic (CCM2) rotors up front.  Emp LOVES these brakes and reported zero fade after many a long session at Buttonwillow.

This is John Farano’s F430 Challenge car.

Tower Scaffolding is John’s company.

In addition to construction scaffolding Tower Events specializes in grandstand seating for such events as Honda Indy Toronto and F1’s Canadian Grand Prix.  In other news John has just become our newest bestest buddy.

For the 2011 season John Farano is leasing his F430 Challenge car to Frank Fusillo.  After seeing the 458 Challenge car up close Frank was yearning to pick one up for himself.  Do it, Frank!

The F430 Challenge’s DOHC 32-valve, 4.3L naturally aspirated V8 makes 483hp at 8500rpm and 342 lb-ft of torque at 5250rpm.
