SEMA 2011: Wrapup

,

Honda has begun offering its body-in-white tubs, or unbuilt chassis, as well as performance parts for Civic Coupe race cars so owners can start from scratch and break into the SCCA World Challenge and Continental Tires' Sports Challenge.  Full inventory will be available in early 2012.

Bisimoto 2012 Civic Coupe
OK, trying to fit more than 1000 horsepower under the hood of this Bisimoto K24A7 powered 2012 Civic Coupe probably does require some interesting fitment choices.  Just don't stick your finger in there unless you only need 9 of them.  MotoIQ actually talked to Bisi Ezerioha about writing for us so drum up some interest readers- we told him he didn't need to serve us the “fluffy pillow” he ends up writing for other mags.

Roll call Tjin Civic
This is probably the sweetest (read: not obnoxious) roll call I've ever seen on a car.  The Tjin Edition 2012 Civic Coupe has a satin metallic wrap, and Rotiform wheels (one side orange, the other purple) contrasting with Baer six-piston calipers, also in orange or purple. There is even a set of Recaro baby seats in the back, perfect for Little Racer Day at the track.

Fox Marketing turbo Civic
The Fox Marketing Civic Si Coupe has Honda's new K24Z7 powerplant, Full Race turbo kit with Borg Warner EFR turbocharger, Hondata FlashPro, 1000cc injectors by Injector Dynamics, Walbro 255lph fuel pump, ChaseBays engine harness, and 2006 Civic ECU, Competition Stage 4 clutch and flywheel.  A Honda RRC intake manifold replaces the stock plastic one.

Hasport Eibach CR-ZHasport Eibach Honda CR-Z
This Hasport modified CR-Z was in the Eibach booth.  Hasport swapped in the 2.4L K24 engine into the CR-Z.  Brian at Hasport told me they planned to offer this conversion as a complete swap kit, putting some performance in a car that begs for it.  Surprisingly, it's not a complicated or difficult swap. Brian also said they plan to add a supercharger soon.  Now if Honda would just offer the same powerplant from the factory…

Honda also featured a 2012 Civic Si that will come from the factory with a Honda Factory Performance package, which inclues lowering springs that drop the height by 15mm and stiffer dampers with an HFP body kit.  The interior illumination changes to red as well.  There will only be 500 kits available starting last week so get yours soon or never.

The 2012 Honda Accord HFP Concept Coupe has a supercharged V6 that puts out 335 horsepower mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, and HFP body kit and wheels.  This is a design study only to gauge consumer interest in performance oriented parts (yes, please!).
