SEMA 2012 Wrapup

Nissan:

Here's their lineup: ____ Yep, 2nd year in a row as a no-show.

Kia:

Yeah, no um… sh!t right?  I personally wouldn't be caught dead driving one but their booth was interesting to say the least.  Perhaps it was that they went with a theme of comics.  Considering what powers these things under the hood, it was a good decision…

Kia brought all your favorite comics to life, in car form…

Kia partnered with DC Comics to bring superheros to life combining comic art and automotive styling.  DC Entertainment co-publisher Jim Lee collaborated with West Coast Customs, and Super Street and Ride magazines on eight vehicles to feature an iconic member of the Justice League- Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg.  This partnership also benefits the “We Can be Heroes” campaign to provide help to families impacted by the drought and famine in the Horn of Africa.  Ok, so at least there's an altruistic effort involved…

Superman and Wonder Woman versions will be unveiled in the next few months.  Dear Kia, please stop. Put your cars in some back corner of the tire and wheel hall, behind the Chinese knockoff companies, where they belong.  Or if you're gonna deck the cars out in superhero form, make the engines more powerful too!
