SEMA 2012 Wrapup

,

Toyota:

Who really wants to see a Dub Avalon or a “Tekked Out” Prius?  OK, so I missed the Dragquoia, a 7 passenger supercharged Sequoia with 650hp, to be filed away in the back corner (of my brain) similar to where the Toyota SEMA booth was.  Stick to the more interesting Scion and Lexus cars, my bad.

Lexus:

Lexus LFA
The Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition is one sexy beast.  The paint job is “Whitest White” and the hood contains a 4.8L V10 engine with 562 horsepower.

Lexus LFA

The Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition includes a large rear wing made of lightweight, high strength carbon fiber reinforced plastic.

IS F CCS-R
The IS F CCS-R is a mouthful of consonants that spells out panty-wetting fun.  It's about 700 pounds lighter than the IS F due to carbon fiber components and stripped down interior.  In its Pikes Peak debut earlier this year, it came in 2nd in class.  The ISFCCSR (phew!) has a 5.0L V8 engine with 416bhp.

LF-CCLF-CC
The Lexus LF-CC has a 2.5L full hybrid powertrain.  The rear wheel drive LF-CC is mated to a high-output, watercooled permanent magnet electric motor.

The LF-CC hybrid drive system uses a power split device which combines and reallocates power from the engine, electric motor and generator via planetary reduction gears.

LFA
It's another fine LFA.  12.0:1 compression ratio, 552hp and 354 lb-ft of torque.  Yes, please!

Lexus LFA
9k redline and 202mph max speed.

Lexus LSLexus LS from Five Axis

This Lexus LS 460 F Sport was modified by Five Axis. The wheels are custom Five Axis' 22″ design.  The LS is lowered and its ride stiffened up by an AirRunner TC-5 suspension kit.

The body kit includes huge fender vents and an integrated diffuser. No news on engine mods so I'll assume it's the stock 4.6L V8 with 386 horsepower under the hood.

Lexus GS VIP auto salon
This Lexus GS F Sport by VIP Auto Salon claims to have an A'PEXi CG SPL custom supercharger under the hood with “an estimated 60hp power gain.”Let the controversy begin.  Pop the hood if there's some forced induction to be seen.  Lexus was the only manufacturer booth to also have a dyno around though I didn't see this thing up there at any point during the show.
