The carbon skirt at the bottom of the rear bumper was made in a similar manner as the front splitter. The bumpers started as several factory bumpers that were cut and tig welded together, then tig welded with other hand-formed panels to create the perfect seamless front and rear of the car that still somehow looks like the factory did it.
We didn’t do a formal lead shoot but the tasteful timeless beauty of the car is very apparent just sitting in our parking lot. The rich warm silver color was custom blended to Ravi’s specs. All of the chrome trim on the car was Ceracoated to complement the color of the paint. Ceracoat is a ceramic-based coating from the firearms industry that is super hard and durable, much more than paint or powder coating.
The smooth and muscular back of the car is an awesome sight. The RS-inspired rear decklid spoiler is a work of art as well. It is entirely hand-formed of aluminum! Like the rest of the car, no fiberglass or Bondo here. The metalwork on the car speaks highly of SV Automotive’s craftmanship. The carbon fiber decklid insert was also made from a 3D-printed buck.
The front gas lid was mounted on the trunk lid 959 style. It has a modern Porsche gas cap and a magnetic kicker so it opens with a slight push. The leather bib prevents nicks to the paint while filling it up with gas.
Here is what the 959 lid looks like closed.

Ok I have to say it…the founder of a company renown for producing industry leading radiators and cooling products owning an exquisite AIR cooled Porsche…irony?
Ok cheap shots aside, I’m not a Porsche fan but this is an amazing car!
They make intercoolers, oil coolers, and other heat exchangers as well. This car uses several of them.
Dang, that has a lot of nice touches; I love seeing stuff where someone is detail oriented and has their own vision for how things should be.
