A Fuel Safe fuel cell holds enough gas for a 75-minute race. The heat exchanger with mounted fan should be the cooler for the rear diff.

The crew cranks up the car and does a system check before the race. A timing light is also used to make sure the engine is operating correctly. For you younglings, a timing light is required on cars with a distributor to check the base timing.
