Turbocharging the Nissan MR20DD Engine, Part 5, Putting It All Together!

We took the water for the turbo’s center section from the loop that keeps the throttle body from icing up.  The water from the throttle body is intercepted and run to the turbo.

From the turbo, the water is T-ed into the throttle body return tubing.  This way the throttle itself isn’t heated up any more than stock from the hot water coming off the turbo center section.

We put the turbo water lines in heat sleeve to protect it from the manifold heat just in case.

Next, it was time to plumb the turbo oiling.

We took the oil from the main oil passage as we discussed in the first story.  We machined an adaptor from the Nissan galley plug to -3 AN.  We used a Teflon-lined hose for the turbo oil.
