Rome had an awesome and strong lead run, lots of angle, and smoke with a good line.
Evan was right in there in the chase, nearly matching Rome’s angle but a little back on proximity, Rome opening up a slight gap.
Evan also had a great lead run. Here you can see the classic weight transfer of Odi’s setups allowing Evan to get everything out of his rules-mandated skinny Pro-Spec tires.
Even though Odi is the master of setup and it’s obvious that Evan’s car is super efficient at putting down the power, Rome totally brought it and stuck to Evan like glue in the chase.
This was a very exciting battle. Look at the proximity and the angle matching.
Rome put the pressure on till the very last turn with a near textbook chase. Both drivers had great lead runs but Rome took the win based on his slightly better chase.
So Rome Charpentier came in first, Evan Bogovich second and Alec Robbins 3rd to make it an FD driver sweep.
Thank you Vegas drift for a tight well-run event and thanks goes to Holley and LS Fest West for having drifting at such an awesome venue! We can’t wait to see how the event goes in 2023!

Looks like there’s about a 25% increase in Corvettes in drifting each year. Can’t blame them. Other than the transaxle being hard to work on, they’re a great paltform.
