Then the spring seat is installed on top of it. The total amount of high-speed rebound is controlled by the holes in the piston and the shimmed part controls the high-speed blow-off. Note that the base shim only blocks the hole partially.
Next, the blow-off valve spring is installed.
Finally, the end nut is installed.
The nut is loctited and torqued down. The piston-rod assembly is now complete.

What’s always interesting is seeing how different KW’s valve design philosophy is compared to the Bilstein/Ohlins/Penske/etc deflective disc pistons… but obviously it works, and works well. Cool that they’re doing rebuilds in-country too, thank you for sharing all of this.
