PRI 2015: Part 2

,

Mountune was there showing off some of its specialty engine builds for professional racing. First, here’s its 2-liter inline-four Duratec Turbo engine based on the production Duratec all-aluminum unit, and it’s in us in RallyCross championships around the world. While this unit is using a 45-mm air restrictor, it also features a forged pistons, i-beam rods, an Mountune valvetrain and head gasket, and Mountune dry sump oil system with integrated main caps. It’s powered by a Garrett Motorsport turbocharger and controlled by a Motorsport ECU and harness.

Check out Mountune’s 2.4-liter inline-four Ford Duratec-based all aluminum engine for rally, race, hill-climb and sprint car. MT reports it developed this engine for use globally in the Supercar Lites Championship. Rated at an impressive 310 BHP, it features high-compression forged pistons, I-beam connecting rods, Mountune valvetrain and high-lift cams, CNC-ported V2 cylinder head, Mountune individual throttle bodies, Mountune lowline dry sump, and Motorsport ECU and harness.

Here are some of the internals Mountune uses for the 2.0-liter and 2.4-liter Ecoboost engines it had on display.

Motion Control Suspension (MCS) had a sweet set of racing coilovers in its booth. This is its MCS 1-way, non-remote setup (aka 1WNR).
