PRI 2015: Part 4

,

Here’s a shot of the Viper’s interior. It's all business indeed.

Speaking of Vipers, this 8.4-liter V10 was on display at the Stainless Headers Manufacturing, Inc booth, showing off its exhaust system, which appear to be equal length.
Since the PRI show is held in Indianpolis, it was no surprise to see some of the Indy 500 history in the building. From the Indy 500 Hall of Fame museum a few history-making indycars were transported to PRI. Let’s check them out.

First, let's look at the Indianapolis 500 trophy. You may remember that BorgWarner turbos were featured in on our PRI Part 2 coverage, but the company is known for so much more than simply aftermarket turbos. One cool fact is it’s known for co-developing the VTG (variable turbo geometry) turbocharger that made the 997 Turbo so much nicer to drive than the 996 it replaced. But even bigger than that, BorgWarner has been the name behind the Indy 500 trophy, which has been presented with this name since 1936!
