Project Porsche 987.2 Cayman S: Getting the Suspension Together! Part 1

The Tarett rear bar is also 4 way adjustable.  Depending on which hole you use, the Tarett bar can go from around the stock stiffness to about 80% stiffer than stock. We will be running the rear bar in the soft position initially based on advice from people who race Cayman cup cars.

The Tarett end links are adjustable for length.  You can use this to eliminate bar preload when corner weighting and to get the most efficient link angle when adjusting the bar.  The Tarett links are longer and the bar is bent to get the best link angles when adjusting.

We needed to reuse the factory upper mount on the KW Clubsports so it had to be unbolted from the stock strut.

The stock 987 Cayman S spring rates are 2.75 Kg front and 3.75 Kg rear. The standard KW Clubsport spring rates are 7kg front and 12kg rear.  Since we anticipate quite a bit of aero loading from our Verus Engineering Aero Kit (up to 1000 lbs), we are upping the spring rates to 12 Kg front and 14 Kg rear. We consulted with KW to make sure the Clubsport valving could handle the higher spring rates without revalving and they assured us it would be no problem.

To install our new springs and the HLS system we had to remove our tender springs.  This isn’t an issue since we are running our car at a low ride height for better aero efficiency so the spring only has a little free play.
